It is a wonderful evening in our neighbourhood . . .

ImageImageIn China and the United States some schools are making the right choices to offer space studies to younger people. An interesting note is that though most people are aware that we live in a small group of galaxies we refer to as The Local Group, our group in it’s entirety actually belongs to the much larger conglomerate of galaxies named The Virgo Cluster. Our group of galaxies is merging even closer with The Virgo Cluster at quite a high speed. We belong to it’s gravitational field easily already.  – In the photographs above taken by master astrophotographer Ruben Kier, first is NGC3521 a distant galaxy that looks pretty much the same as our does to people there who are looking back at us! haha  . . and below is The Cone Nebula, a local piece in our galaxy .
